Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
California Board of Behavioral Sciences

Emma Seaman, MA

Emma (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping clients feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, and the lives they want to build. Understanding the courage it takes to attend therapy, she brings a grounded and encouraging presence to session so clients can feel safe exploring what they are carrying and what they hope to change.

Her work is relationally focused and trauma-informed. She helps clients make sense of the larger historical, social, cultural, and environmental forces that shape their feelings and behaviors, while integrating parts work and somatic techniques to help clients deepen self-understanding, cultivate an internal sense of safety, and build healthy relationships with themselves and others. She firmly believes in her clients' capacity to create the lives they long for and encourages them as they move toward that vision.

Clinical Experience:
Emma has experience providing individual and group therapy in schools and substance use treatment centers. She has worked with a diverse range of clients, with particular experience supporting adolescents and LGBTQ+ individuals. She has helped clients navigating grief, life transitions, trauma, substance use disorder, anxiety, depression, and compulsive behaviors. Emma understands the courage it takes to be vulnerable and is passionate about supporting people through moments of transition, self-discovery, healing, and growth.
