Isabella Cho, MA

Supervised Pre-doctoral Clinician

Isabella (she/her) believes that therapy is a collaborative process rooted in connection, curiosity, and growth. She utilizes a client-centered, relational psychodynamic approach, incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) when helpful, to better understand each person’s unique perspective and the ways their relationships and life experiences have shaped how they navigate the world.

Isabella views the therapeutic relationship itself as an important space for exploration and understanding. Together, the therapist and client can explore patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be influencing the client’s relationship with themselves and others, while developing practical skills to navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change.

To Isabella, therapy is about coming together to work toward growth and her goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the process.

Clinical Experience:
As a therapist, Isabella has worked in various settings, including community mental health centers and university counseling centers. She utilizes client-centered relational approaches to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Some of the areas Isabella has worked with include: depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, complex trauma, and relational issues.
