Justin Solis, MA

Justin Solis (he/him) is a registered associate marriage and family therapist who understands that the complexities of life shape people differently. He works from a non-judgmental and compassionate lens to promote creativity, authenticity, and client strengths. Justin believes in the benefits of collaboration and building a strong therapeutic relationship to assist clients in identifying truths, exploring values, and actualizing goals. By approaching therapy through a client-focused perspective, he uses a combination of mindfulness, grounded techniques, and emotion-focused interventions to bring congruence with the body, mind, relationships, and action. As a therapist, Justin will walk alongside you in every step of your healing journey and the ways you want to grow.

Justin is passionate about the accessibility of mental health and spreading its awareness. He ran various booths pertaining to anxiety, depression, and suicide for the community of Azusa, spoke on the effects of COVID-19 on mental health at Azusa’s yearly wellness event, and formally presented at the Western Psychology Association convention.

Justin received his Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy at Azusa Pacific University. He also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Whittier College.

His experience has led him to work with a diverse caseload. Justin has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples with a variety of mental health disorders in community-based psychotherapy settings. He is a RBT (Registered Behavioral Technician) and has a background in ABA Therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) with children and adolescents. He has trained and continues to further his knowledge on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Restoration Therapy, Attachment Theory, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy).
