Melissa Rosal, PsyD
Registered Psychological Associate
California Board of Psychology
Dr. Rosal’s approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and genuine connection. She believes growth and healing happen within safe, trusting relationships, and she strives to create a space where clients feel seen and understood. Viewing clients as the experts in their own lives, she sees her role as walking alongside them— utilizing her training and experiences to helping them make sense of their emotions, notice patterns, and reconnect with their strengths and capacity for growth. She practices through a culturally responsive lens, recognizing and honoring how upbringing, identity, and community shape each person’s experiences. Her goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported, empowered, and able to take meaningful steps toward the life they want.
Clinical Experience:
Dr. Rosal has experience working with individuals across the lifespan—from children to older adults—as well as couples, in a variety of clinical settings. She has worked with clients navigating trauma, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and major life transitions. She also has experience in a university counseling setting at a predominantly Latinx women’s college, where she worked closely with many first-generation students. In this role, she helped clients navigate identity development, family and cultural dynamics, and the transition into adulthood, as well as experiences with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Across her work, Dr. Rosal emphasizes understanding each person within the context of their life experiences and relationships, bringing a thoughtful, culturally attuned perspective to the care she provides.
