Priscilla Parker, OTD, OTR/L
Licensed Occupational Therapist
California Board of Occupational Therapy
Dr Priscilla (she/her) draws from the Cognitive Behavioral Frame of Reference and the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) to understand the dynamic relationship between a person’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and their engagement in meaningful daily activities.
By integrating these two approaches, Dr Priscilla explores both the internal thought processes underlying a client’s concerns and the external factors that influence meaningful participation in daily life.
Using a top-down, holistic approach, Priscilla works collaboratively with clients to explore what truly matters to them—honoring their values, roles, and routines. She incorporates structured goal setting and a coaching style to help clients identify and take actionable steps toward living with greater purpose and fulfillment. With a compassionate, client-centered approach, Priscilla supports individuals in building insight, fostering self-efficacy, and developing the skills needed to lead meaningful and connected lives.
Clinical Experience:
Dr Priscilla’s research background spans a variety of interdisciplinary topics, including the relationship between nutrition and cognition, social processing and motor skills, social networks and obesity prevention, and the physical and mental health implications of social support.
Her clinical experience includes working in inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health settings, providing care for both adolescents and adults with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyspraxia, physical disabilities, chronic conditions, and a range of mental health diagnoses. Across these settings, she has addressed physical, emotional, and cognitive needs such as sensory processing challenges, depression, anxiety, lifestyle management, emotional regulation, leisure and self-care engagement, social support systems, family and peer roles, maladaptive behavior patterns, and self-advocacy.
In addition, Dr Priscilla has worked as an executive function coach and cognitive trainer, supporting both children and adults in strengthening skills related to planning, memory, attention, self-regulation, and organization.
