Vee Li, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist
California Board of Psychology
Dr. Vee (they/them/theirs) is a licensed psychologist who specializes in testing. They utilize a compassionate, strength-based approach to testing that emphasizes incorporating the client's cultural background and diverse personal factors into the process of testing and informing diagnosis. Dr. Vee is an avid proponent of therapeutic assessment, in which assessment is not only a means of clarifying diagnosis but also a tool that can enhance and empower an individual's understanding of themself and bolster their progress in current or future therapies. Dr. Vee's goal is to help the client further build insight into their personal narrative, internal processes, and relational patterns and develop a tailored plan for the patient to thrive and flourish in life with a clearer, more holistic understanding of themself.
Clinical Experience:
Dr. Vee began training and clinical work in both assessment and therapy during their doctoral program at Loma Linda University, where they honed their clinical skills with a diverse population of patients across the lifespan. Throughout their training, Dr. Vee has worked with elementary school children within ethnically diverse local school districts, young adults at a university counseling center (including leading their Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming Group), adult Veterans within the VA hospital system, and older adults at a chronic kidney disease treatment center. They completed their APA-accredited doctoral internship at VA Loma Linda, where they completed rotations in primary care and mental health integration, outpatient and inpatient health psychology, and neuropsychology. Dr. Vee then completed their post-doctoral residency at VA Loma Linda where they specialized in psychological assessment and assessed for a wide range of diagnoses including trauma disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, and mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
